who I serve

Are you wanting to talk about things that may feel overwhelming, scary or shameful? Are there topics that you feel like you can’t share with people in your life because you worry they may judge you, try to fix the situation or not be able to handle it? I am here to listen, support, and help you work through whatever it is so you can feel like you have space to breathe, think, heal and move forward.

I provide individual therapy for teenagers and young adults. I specialize in working with youth who have a history of anxiety, self harm, thoughts of suicide, peer conflicts, immigration trauma, and second generation family dynamics.

My office is located in the outer sunset neighborhood in San Francisco

philosophy and techniques

I believe to feel truly seen and heard in an authentic and deep way is one of the greatest gifts that we can give and receive.  I center my work around meaningful connection.  I feel that therapy is a reciprocal process where we are both working as partners in helping you reach your goals; to find a place of ease, understanding, and strength and to move through life feeling more centered and fulfilled.

While I do not think that there is a “one size fits all” approach to therapy, I incorporate elements of mindfulness, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, somatic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.  My area of focus is working with teenagers and young adults dealing with anxiety, stress, trauma, self harm and suicidal ideation.  I speak Spanish and work with Spanish speaking populations and those who have experienced stress and trauma from immigration.

about me

I received my Masters in Social Work from California State University Monterey Bay in 2016.  I have been a middle school social worker for San Francisco Unified School district since 2014.  Before that I worked with Spanish speaking immigrants and agricultural communities in a variety of settings including health care centers, high schools, community centers, and farms.

Originally from New York state, I have now lived in California for over 15 years and feel so fortunate to call the outer sunset neighborhood my home. Outside of my work I enjoy gardening, cooking, being in nature and traveling whenever possible.
